In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
COUSINS, Arthur Ion Howard - passed away peacefully in hospital on November 22, 2002 with family by his side. Arthur was born in Port Arthur on October 13, 1923. At the age of one his family moved to Sudbury where he was raised and educated. Arthur served overseas with the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve from 1943 to 1945. After the war he became a member of Local 628-Plumbers and Pipe fitters. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Fort William Branch 6 and the Pellet Point Hunt Club. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, collecting bottles and time spent with his grandchildren. He was a devoted husband and friend to wife Anne for over 53 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his family: son Gary (Carol) Cousins of Guelph, daughters Cherie (Rob) Chandler of Thunder Bay and Heather (Barry) Rogers of Kenora, grandchildren Vanessa, Mackenzie, Megan, Rhianna, Boe, Christine, Catherine and Bryan and sisters Frances Vance of Thunder Bay and Betty Sampson of Calgary. He is predeceased by his wife Anne, parents Arthur and Cora, brothers Jim and Thomas and sister Duffy. Funeral services for the Late Mr. Arthur Cousins will be held Wednesday November 27, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. in Jenkens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday November 26 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Jenkens Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society or the charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by the family." (The Thunder Bay Chronicle Journal 25 Nov 2002)
