In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
LOVERING, Reginald Drue - Passed away at home Tuesday July 16, 2013. Born November 23, 1924 in Stanley. Dad attended Central School and Vocational before joining the Navy at age 17 and serving on the HMCS New Glasgow. Many years were spent enjoying the camp at Oliver Lake and after retiring from Great Lakes Paper, enjoying winters in Mesa, AZ, where they met many lasting friends. Reg was predeceased by his father William Drue, mother Orpha (nee Smith), step father Hjalmer Sandberg, brothers Les and Edgar Corbett, Ken Lovering , and sister Wilma Breiling. Survived by his wife Joan, sons Rick and Wayne, grandchildren Kimberley, Matthew and Shannon and great-grandchildren Carter, Kirra, Aundreya, Kaylee and Charlie. According to Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a private family interment at a later date. If so desired , donations may be made to the Northern Cancer Fund, Heart and Stroke Foundation or George Jeffery Foundation. (The Thunder Bay Chronicle Journal 17 Jul 2013)
