DODDS, Philo Epps, Wireless Operator 3rd Class, OFF VR-91, RNCVR, MPK - 15 Jun 1917, SS ADDAH - Son Of Adelia Anne Dodds, Of Manor Rd., St. George, New Brunswick, And The Late James Dodds.

 

W/T Op 3c Dodds died when the ship he was travelling in, SS ADDAH, was torpedoed and sunk by U-69 at position 47° 24' N, 05° 00' W - approximately 35 nautical miles South-West of Penmarch. She was en route from Montreal to Cherbourg with a general cargo.

 

His name is recorded on the Tower Hill Memorial, London, England.
