Died: 24 Aug 1975, Honeymoon Bay, Lake Cowichan, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada

 

MARTIN, Alexander Freeman - On August 24, 1975, Captain Alexander Martin, aged 79 years, of 33 Howe St., born in Murray River, P.E.I., and a resident of Victoria for 33 years.  He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth May; 2 daughters, Mrs. Vivian Williams of Victoria and Mrs. Bergelena R. Baines of Bremerton; 1 son, John C. Martin of Victoria; 2 grandchildren, Deborah Elizabeth and Calvin R. Baines Jr.; 1 great-granddaughter, Lisa R. Baines; 4 brothers, Roy, Daniel, Forrest and Joshua Jenkins and 1 sister, Elizabeth Stuart.  He served in World War One with the Canadian Army 8th Siege Battery and World War Two with the RCNVR.

 

Funeral service in McCall Bros. Floral Chapeu Johnson and Vancouver Sts. on Wed., Aug. 27 at 1:00 p.m. with Tony Roberts officiating, followed by cremation.
