In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
COUGHLIN, Ellen Louis (née PEDRICK) - passed away at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital 02 Jan 2024.
She is survived by her husband David Coughlin, Long time care giver. And her daughter Barbara and son Robert. Ellen had a beauty of character and personality that endeared her to all who came in contact with her. She will be greatly missed by those close to her.
Ellen initially joined the Naval Reserve at HMCS Chippawa 13 September1955 where She served until 17 March 1957. She entered the RCN 18 March 1957. Upon completion of new entry training at HMCS Cornwallis September 1957 she was posted to HMCS Hochelaga where she successfully completed her Victualling Storesman Course Trade Group 1 at the top of her class of 13. This was followed by a posting to HMCS Naden in October 1957. After serving the initial Two Years Engagement she proceeded to release and Honourable Discharge on 15 November 1958.
