HART, Betty Noreen (née HILL) - After a short illness, Betty died peacefully in her sleep at her adopted home in the LSGW Veterans' facility at Sunnybrook Hospital. She is survived by her daughter, Maureen and son-in-law, Dan; granddaughters, Sara and Nicole Bureau; nephews and nieces, Robert Gunter (Judy), Ronald Gunter (Cynthia), Pat Tucker (Jim), Beth Chown (Murray) and Keith Hill. Betty was predeceased by her daughter, Valerie Bureau (Jean); sisters, Jean Beard (Billy) and Marjorie McGibbon (Roy); brother, Ken Hill (Jeanette) and her former husband, Richard Hart. Visitation will be held at Ogden Funeral Home at 4164 Sheppard Avenue East, Scarborough from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 4th. Betty's funeral service will be held at Parkwoods United Church, 85 Parkwoods Village Drive in Don Mills at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5th, with interment following at the Veterans' section of Pine Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sunnybrook Veterans Program would be greatly appreciated by the families. (The Toronto Star 31 Dec 2025)
