SHERIDAN, Joan Agnes (née RAWLE) - 85, Nictaux Falls, passed away suddenly Thursday, July 12, 2007, in Nictaux Falls. Born in London, England, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Annie (Rogers) Rawle. Joan served with the W.R.C.N.S. in Newfoundland during the Second World War. She was a member of Nictaux United Baptist Church, past member of the church choir, member of the church craft group, the Women's Missionary Society and a past member of the Nictaux Fire-ettes. Joan enjoyed her computer, loved to garden and knit, but most of all she dearly enjoyed and loved her family. Joan is survived by daughters, Judy (Mike) Upward, Saint John, N.B.; Heather Sheridan (Sheldon Crawford), Victoria Vale; sons, Warren (Linda McGrath), Annapolis Royal; Wayne (Marie), Keith (Wendy) and Kevin (Janice), all of Nictaux South, and Tony (Brenda), Margaretsville; grandchildren, Lisa and Mandy, Michael, Heather and Melissa, Trisha, Josh and Jesse, Kyle and Kristie, Emily, Amanda and Katy; six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews; sisters, Fran (Ken) Keddy, Greenwood; Olive (Ron) Mailman, Middleton; brother, Doug (Alice) Rawle, Berwick. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Lester Sheridan; grandsons, Jason and Ryan; brother, Bernard, and an infant sister, Ruth. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. today in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, July 15, in Nictaux United Baptist Church, Rev. Bill McLeod officiating. Interment will be in Tremont Cemetery. By request, family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association or charity of choice.
