Able Seaman Sharpe died when HMS BARHAM was torpedoed and sunk on 25 Nov 1941 by U-331 in the Mediterranean near Egypt with a loss of 862 officers and men.  His name is recorded on the Portsmouth Naval Memorial Hampshire, United Kingdom.
