In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
TRAEGER / TRAGER, Brian Anthony - passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026.
He is survived by his wife Suzanne, sons, Sid (Lisa), Brian (Kathy) and their mother Lorna, grandchildren, Nicole (Terry), Derek (Tina), grandchildren, Anthony (Brittany), Jessica (Wyatt), Kevin, Kendra and great-grandchildren, Claire, Cassidy, Myles and numerous nieces and nephews.
Brian was predeceased by his son Kelly, parents, Caroline and Anton, siblings, Robert, Kathleen, Frank, Ernie, Albert, Janet and Eleanor.
Brian joined the Navy in 1957 and left in 1962. He had many jobs before he became a Letter Carrier with Canada Post until he retired.
Brian was an avid sports enthusiast playing hockey, fastball, bowling and golf. He did volunteer at Varsity View Community Club holding various roles on the board.
After retiring Brian and Suzanne travelled to Thailand numerous times.
Would like to thank the staff at Wexford Creek Senior Community for his care in the last years of his life.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. Service or Celebration of Life to be held in Nanaimo. (The Winnipeg Free Press 07 Mar 2026)
