WILEY, Calvin Leroy - in his 82nd year of Dartmouth, N.S. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a loving husband, father, grand-father, great- grandfather and uncle on February 26, 2026 at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Cal was born 7th April, 1944, in Chipman, N.B. , the son of the late Ralph and Frances [Daye] Wiley. He served 34 years in RCN, and RCAF retiring at CFB Shearwater. Calvin is survived by his best friend and loving wife, Kitty of 51 years, Diane Wiley daughter-in-law, granddaughter Larissa [Jason], great-grand children Mikayla and Jayce . Brothers, Edward [Elaine], Jerry, and sisters Lois Fournier, Patsy Spencer, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Frank, Richard, Donald and sisters Grace Ann Smith and Erna [Harry ] Munroe, son Michael, Grandson Michael Wiley and Nephews Jonathan Christopher Smith Douglas, Ralph and Jason Spencer. Cremation has taken place with a private interment to follow at a later date at Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations to the Souls Harbour Dartmouth, the Dartmouth General Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice. Special thanks to the staff of the Palliative Care team at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Celebration of Life to be held at Saint Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, 320 Flying Cloud, Dartmouth, NS on Thursday, March 5 at 10:00 am. (The Halifax Chronicle Herald 03 Mar 2026)
