PIGEON, Paul J. - It is with great sadness that the Pigeon family announces the passing of Paul Pigeon, World War II veteran, on May 12, 2015. Born in 1926, Paul cherished his family and loved life. He leaves behind his wife of 68 years Yvonne Paquin, his six daughters, his three sons and their spouses; nine grandsons, ten granddaughters, 16 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Paul also leaves behind his six sisters and three of his seven brothers. After his retirement, Paul took advantage of his great passions such as travelling, golf and bridge, just to name a few. He loved to bring his family and friends around the table with his homemade wine. He will be sadly missed by all those who had the privilege to take part of his life. The family wanted to thank the Pavillon du Souvenir at the Ste. Anne's Hospital for the compassion and great care that they provided to Paul. Family and friends are invited to say goodbye to Paul this Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., as well as on Sunday May 17, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Yves Légaré Funeral Complex followed by a Celebration of his Life at 12 p.m. at the chapel of the same complex. The family would appreciate a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society. (Montreal Gazette 15 May 2015)
