In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
CHRISTY, Roger Joseph - 81, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2013. He was born on February 25, 1932 in New Westminster, BC to James Francis Christy and Irene Marie Christy (Bourassa). Roger is predeceased by his wife Norma, parents James and Irene and two sisters Eileen Brophy and Mary Christy. Roger is lovingly remembered by his children: Mark (Carla) Christy of Prince George, BC; Maureen (B.G.) Wasson of Reno, NV; Brendan (Kerry) Christy of Chilliwack, BC; and Sheila (Bryan) Vig of Beaverlodge, AB. Grandchildren: Kerry Christy, Kathryn (Daniel) Egli, Dylan and Lexie Christy, and Angela and Megan Vig. Roger is also survived by several nieces and a nephew in the U.S. Roger was proud to serve in the Royal Canadian Navy. He enjoyed a variety of occupations from heavy equipment and car sales on up through hotel management. Roger was competitive at games of all types; he especially enjoyed beating his friends and children at Cribbage. Upon his retirement, Roger enjoyed traveling and collecting local historical facts.
