Died: 02 Nov 2012, Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada

 

SIMPSON, James Edward - longtime resident of Grande Prairie, passed away at the QEII Hospital on Friday, November 2, 2012 at the age of 79 years. James was born and raised in Kingston, Ontario. He joined the navy at 17 and shortly after his discharge, he married Lois Pandachuck. They moved to Alberta and Jim always considered himself a transplanted easterner and a true Albertan. Jim was a true salesman and worked for the Herald Tribune and Canfor Lumber before going into the retail business for many years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Lois, his daughter Penni (Ric Peterson), grandchildren Tiffany (David Clements), Brooklynn (Cory Heck), and Dakota, son Brent (Mona Grace), grandchild Olivia and great-grandchildren Rayley Heck and Dexton Clements, his brother Donald, and sister, Saundra Michaud of Ontario. James was predeceased by his Dad, Mom and Step-dad. The memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 2:00pm at Forbes Presbyterian Church (9635 - 76 Ave Grande Prairie).
