In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
SPENCE, Gerald - It is with deep sadness that the family of Gerald Spence announces his passing at St. Paul's Hospital on October 29, 2014 at the age of 79 years. He will be missed by his wife, Nancy; son, Brian Spence, Royal Canadian Navy, Ontario; daughters, Jeannie (Al) Apperley of Regina and Colleen Spence of Saskatoon; as well as 5 grandchildren who brought sunshine into his life, Matthew, Jordan and Nadine Eisler, and Lindsay and Thomas Apperley. He will also be missed by his extended family, Bob and Lynn Tunstall, Trudy Banks, the Hall family and numerous nieces and nephews. After spending 5 years in the Royal Canadian Navy he had a long career with Corrections Canada. He enjoyed participating in a variety of sports and was especially proud to be a leader with the Drumheller Sea Cadet Corp for several years. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from Acadia- McKague's Funeral Centre (915 Acadia Dr., Saskatoon). (The Saskatoon StarPhoenix 04 Nov 2014)
