BRENNAN, William A. (Bill) - died November 3, 2011, in San Mateo, California. Bill was born May 1, 1925 in Saskatoon. He attended St. Joseph's School and Nutana Collegiate. He served with the RCNVR in WWII seeing combat in the Atlantic Theatre. Returning to Civilian life Bill played 10 years of professional hockey ending his hockey career in Calgary. He attended the University of Alberta graduating with a Commerce Degree. Bill married his wife Johnell in 1952. He and Johnell moved to California where he worked in San Francisco for over 30 years. Bill was predeceased by his wife Johnell, his parents Dan and Jean Brennan, his brother Jim and his niece Colleen Flett. He is survived by his sisters Margaret and Betty Brennan and Joan (Ray) East of Saskatoon and his sisterin-law Phyllis Brennan of Regina. He was very close to his nieces and nephews. His funeral mass was celebrated on November 9 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in San Mateo, California. (The Saskatoon StarPhoenix 19 Nov 2011)
