McCONACHIE, Donald Barrett, Dr. - At Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Phyllis (nee Mitchell). Dear father of Malcolm (Laura) of Toronto and Gordon (Fiona) of Owen Sound. Sadly missed by four grandchildren Ian, Cheryl, Emma and Samantha. Also survived by his sister Florence (Harvey Bailey) of Guelph. Predeceased by his sister Leila and her husband Jack Creeper. Don was a beloved physician in Owen Sound for over 50 years (University of Toronto 1950) and served in the RCNVR in WW II on the North Atlantic. Friends are invited to the Tannahill Funeral Home, Owen Sound 519-376-3710 for visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
