HICKMAN, Robert Appleton - It is with great sorrow that the family announce the sudden passing of "Bob" Robert A. Hickman, Friday January 1 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elliot Lake. Beloved husband of 27 years and best friend of Janet, father of Robert Hickman, step dad of Michael and Lisa Reim, dear and close cousin of Eva Smith of Texas and cherished grandfather of 6 and great grandfather of one. "Bob" had no surviving siblings. Served proudly in the Royal Canadian Navy, a resident of our community for the past nine years, a Legion member, vice president and an active member of the Elliot Lake Renaissance Centre, "Bob" will truly be missed by all who knew him. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at the Ren Centre Saturday, January 9th from 1-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by his family.
