Notes from Mo Sabourin:

(11) P2ER Wasson was a "Direct Entry".  He had been a qualified Machinist in Civilian life, and was considered "un Trained", so did not wear his rank badge until he had completed 20 weeks training in HMCS Cornwallis, learning marching drill and Naval training.

(45) P2ER3 Moir was a transfer from the Naval Reserves at HMCS Discovery where he had held the rank of P1ER3 as an Engineering Artificer, to the RCN regular force. For some unknown reason (to me) he would do 20 weeks training in HMCS Cornwallis and not wear his rank badge until after graduation.

(43) Our Divisional Captain was Able Seaman Schwanke, who had made a transfer from the Royal Canadian Air Force as an Aircraftsman, and was considered the best candidate to lead our division of OD's!
