Fate: broken up in Brazil in 1972

 

Mayfair Park was a Defensively Equipped Merchant Ship (DEMS). Though manned by a civilian crew, she had RCN sailors on board to man and operate the gun that was fitted to her for protection and convoy defence. 

 

1943 MAYFAIR PARK, (Launched as CAMP VALCARTIER ) Park SS Co, Montreal. 1945 SIDERURGICA QUATRO, Cia Siderurgica Nacional, Rio de Janeiro 1968 ATLANTICO, H. Dantas Comercio Nav y Industrias, Rio de Janeiro. 1972 Scrapped Brazil.

 

She was sold in 1971 renamed Lightening in 1976 damaged by mine at Chalna Port, later scrapped at Chittagong, Bangladesh.
