HMCS SCOTIAN
(HMC Dockyard)
On 01 Jun 1944, in order to effect a further decentralization of disciplinary authority in the Halifax area, HMC DOCKYARD was removed from the jurisdiction of the Commanding Officer HMCS STADACONA and commissioned as a separate establishment known as HMCS SCOTIAN under the command of the Commodore Superintendent, Halifax. It was paid off 28 Feb 1947
There is no connection between this HMCS SCOTIAN and the Naval Reserve Division HMCS SCOTIAN which was commissioned 23 Apr 1947.
