READE, Roderick Eric, AB, 54826-H, RCN, died - 19 Oct 1965, HMCS NIPIGON - Son of Clara and Delbert Reade of Galt Ontario. Brother of William, Alex, Philip, Gregory, Robert, Elden, Sandra, Gwen and Laura.

 

Roderick joined the RCN 09 Feb 1962. He is buried in the Brookwood Military Cemetery, Surrey, United Kingdom.

 

In 2019 Roderick Reade Brook, outside the Town of Amherst, NS, was named in honour of Roderick Reade, who died during a fire in 1965, aboard HMCS NIPIGON.
