Died: 15 Apr 1974

 

BROOKING, William John - 63, 33 Shore Road, Bedford, died Monday in Halifax Infirmary. Born in Toronto, he was a son of the late John T. and Florence (Long) Brooking. A veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy he retired in 1965. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Royal Standard of Halifax. Besides his wife, Alexandrianna, he is survived by four sisters, Irene, Dartmouth; Mrs. Rose Morgan, East Uniacke; Gladys (Mrs. Roy Murdock), Lower Sackville; Mrs. Grace Griswold, Conrad Settlement, Halifax County, two brothers, Leonard and John, both of Dartmouth. The body is at Mattatall's Funeral Home, Dartmouth. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in Bedford United Church. Rev. C.D. Aitken will officiate.
