Died: 29 Jul 2019

 

DICKS, Norman Thomas (Tom) - Age 61, Lawrencetown, Halifax County passed away on 29 July 2014 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Alfred and Cecelia (Gosbee) Dicks. Tom proudly served in the Canadian Navy for over 31 years retiring in 2004. Tom will be sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend, Dawn (Eisener); son Sean, Ottawa; stepsons Christopher (Melissa) Sweet, Jonathan (Simone) Sweet, grandsons Benjaman and Jonathan, all of Edmonton, sisters Joan MacNeil, Jean Hann, brothers Michael (Darlene), all of Halifax, Walter (Darlene), Newport Corner and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents and brother, Richard, Calgary, brother-in-law Robert MacNeil, Halifax. Tom recently had the opportunity to spend a week with his stepsons, their wives and his grandsons, which were the apple of his eye. That week will be treasured by all. Cremation has taken place. At Tom's request, there will only be visitation on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 in Cole Harbour Funeral Home, 1234 Cole Harbour Road. No Service. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society. Family Flowers only please.
