Died: 16 Apr 2013, Halifax, Nova Scotia

 

FANCY, Fraser George - 68, of Dartmouth, Passed away peacefully April 16, 2013, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Pictou on December 13, 1944, he was a son of the late Thomas and Katheryn (Sinclair) Fancy. Fraser served 27 years in the Royal Canadian navy as a naval weapons technician, and he was a long-standing member of the ANAF Club, Unit 349, Dartmouth. Fraser loved country music, the outdoors, camping, hunting, and was an avid car enthusiast (especially classic cars), loving to take long drives in his Chev. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Yvette (Aucoin); son, Ian (Susan), Dartmouth; daughters, Brigette, Halifax; grandsons, Nicholas, Colin, Joshua and Gavin, Dartmouth; brothers, Tom (Marilyn), Ontario; George (Lee), Quebec; Samuel, California; Bob (Judy), California; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his chosen brother, Clarence Anderson. Many heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Coronary Care Unit 6.4 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 20th from 2-4 p.m. in Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen St., Dartmouth. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the charity of your choice.
