FARRIS, Terrance Leroy (Terry) - 55, Tiverton, Digby Co., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones, Friday, November 12, 2004, in Kentville. Born on October 29, 1949, in Kentville, he was a son of Ernest Farris, Kentville, and the late Dorothy (Francis) Farris. He had been employed with D.B. Kenney Fisheries, Westport, Digby Co., for the past eight years. He spent 12 years in the Royal Canadian Navy and served on the HMCS Fraser, the Algonquin and the Protector. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 92, Freeport, Digby Co. and a member of the Digby Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Terry was known to his buddies as "Buzzard" and will always be remembered for his great sense of humour. He is survived by his partner, Janet Titus, Tiverton; children, Christina Farris, Pictou, Pictou Co.; Terry (Karen) Farris, Digby; Janet's children, Tiffany and Morgan, Tiverton; sisters, Carol Ann (Joseph) Samson, Kentville; Linda (William) Stevens, Foxbrook, Pictou Co.; Valerie Farris, Kentville; Theresa (Alfred) Parks, Centreville, Kings Co.; brother, David (Susan), Coldbrook, Kings Co; Seven Grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, November 14, in the W. C. Hiltz/White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 15, in Bethany Memorial Baptist Church, Aldershot, Kings Co., Pastor Thelma McLeod officiating. Family flowers only by request. Donations in memory may be made to Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses or a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to W. C. Hiltz/White Family Funeral Home, Kentville.
