Beloved father of Rae Ann Wenglewick and Robin (Jonathan) Zettel and loving grandfather to Beatrice, Eloise, Oliver, Joey Jr. and Jericho. Raymond joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1966 rising to the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class and sailed on such ships as HMCS PRESERVER and BONAVENTURE. Being a Marine Engineer (Stoker) he was held in high regard due to the commitment and work ethic of these sailors and this carried over into his personal life. He completed many NATO tours which took him all over the world, to which he spoke fondly of Jamaica and the rum that would grow hair on the chest. After retirement, he never forgot about his time in the Navy and it was forever a part of his soul. Death Before Dishonour. Raymond will be remembered as a hard-working man who enjoyed what he did for a living. He will also be remembered for his sharing nature. He loved to go strawberry picking and handing out baskets of them throughout his community. As well, he donated to a local charity through his local laundromat. He also loved to spend time with his fur-grandbabies Lucy and Charlie. In 2014 Raymond separated from his wife Margaret (nee Lawson). A viewing was held by Margaret and her son Joseph on September 21, 2017 at the Glendale Funeral Home & Cemetery in Etobicoke where Raymond was laid to rest.
