Died: 30 May 2020, Halifax, Nova Scotia

 

HAUSMAN, Brian Carl - Age 75, of Lower Sackville, passed away May 30, 2020, in the VG Site, QEII. Born September 7, 1944 in Hamilton, Ont., raised in Saskatchewan. He was the son of the late Carl and Mary (Phillips) Hausman. Brian is survived by his wife, Ethel Hausman (Rose); his sons, Robert (Jennifer) Hausman, Fredericton, N.B.; Carl (Angela) Hausman, Beaver Bank; Richard Hausman, Lower Sackville; grandchildren, Rachel, Jacob, Owen, Claire; sister, Margaret (Ed) Sebastien, British Columbia. Brian served 31 years in the Royal Canadian Navy, on various vessels. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was President and coach of Sackville Soccer Association in the 80's, member of Lakeshore Curling Club in the 2000's, and lifelong sports fan, especially his Saskatchewan Roughriders. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Atlantic Funeral Homes (Sackville Chapel), a Memorial Service will take place at a later date with Rev. Mark Kingsbury officiating. Burial in Oakridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Lung Association Nova Scotia, Canadian Cancer Society or St. Francis by the Lakes Church, Lower Sackville.
