Chief Petty Officer 1st Class, Hull Technician, RCNVR, RCNR, RCN

 

Born: 26 Mar 1913, Grand Bruit, Newfoundland

 

Died: 06 Mar 1998, Victoria, British Columbia

 

PARSONS, Lewis Samuel - enlisted in the RCNVR on 14 Jan 1942 and was demobilized on 19 Oct 1945. He enlisted in the RCNR 18 Jan 1946 and transferred to the RCN 12 Aug 1948. He retired 26 Mar 1965.  He was serving in Halifax when he met his wife - and served in various ships and shore establishments, finishing his naval career at Esquimalt as a CPO Shipwright (Hull Tech). After his release from the navy he worked at HMC Dockyard for many years as a civilian.
