Died: 2001

 

BROWN, William Donald - Veteran W.W. II,  R.C.N.V.R. Entered into rest peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, on Friday, April 27th, 2001. Bill Brown, in his 78th year, was the beloved husband of Doris Wisby of Sturgeon Point. Loving father of his daughter Janne of Stratford, and sons Doug and his wife Jocelyn of Ottawa, Paul and his wife Alison of Vancouver, and Bill of Stratford. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Lindsay, Amanda, Joey, Robyn, Jessica, Graeme, and Katrina. Survived by his sister Ida Mae Noble of Sturgeon Point and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Brown will be resting at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with complete Funeral Service in the chapel on Tuesday, May 1st at 1:30 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation, or the Toronto Regional Cancer Centre Sunnybrook Hospital would be appreciated. The family wishes to express their thanks to the doctors and nurses of Sunnybrook Health Science Centre, Ross Memorial Hospital and the Access Centre of Lindsay. The Globe and Mail 30 Apr 2001)
