MCCAVOUR, Stephen L. - At the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 19, 2008 Stephen Lewis McCavour of Lorneville, husband of Ferne (Ogden) McCavour. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Harry and Edith (Thomson) McCavour. Stephen lived all of his life in Saint John except for ten years that he served in the Royal Canadian Navy. Before his retirement in 1994, Stephen was employed with Irving Pulp and Paper as an Instrument Technician. He was a life long member of the Lorneville United Church and was a member of the board of Managers of the church. He coached Minor Hockey and Juvenile Baseball. Surviving, in addition to his wife Ferne, are two sons, Stephen and his wife Donna Stephens and Jeff and his wife Cheryl Smith; one daughter, Jacklyn Lohnes and her husband David; one brother, Clyde McCavour and his wife Kathleen; one daughter-in-law Judith (Kyle) McCavour; eight grandchildren, Hannah Lohnes, Valeria Stephens, Stephen and Rosalie McCavour; Brett, Caitlin and Erin McCavour and Shilo McCavour; three cousins, Rose Marie Williams and her husband Eugene of Passekeag, Milford McCavour and his wife Gail of Gondola Point and Yvonne and Norman Dupuis of Lorneville. He was predeceased by his parents and son, Guy McCavour. Resting at the Castle (Fallsview) Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701). Funeral service will be held at the Fallsview Chapel on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment in the Lorneville Cemetery in the spring. Visiting at Fallsview on Friday, March 21, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Donations to the Lorneville United Church, Juvenile Diabetes or the C.N.I.B. would be appreciated by the family.
