Died: 23 Jul 2020

BABINEAU, James William (Jim) - It is with deep regret that we announce the sudden passing of Jim on July 20, 2020. He leaves to mourn his brothers, Bill, Fred, Chris; and sisters, Mary, Alice, Nancy and Donna. He was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Mary; brother, Edward; and sister, Kathy. Jim served with the West Novies and the Royal Canadian Navy, the Bonaventure being one of the ships he served on. After the Navy he went on to become a refueler at Shearwater for over 30 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, enjoying the social aspect of spending time with "the boys". Jim was retired and lived in Lawrencetown where he lived a quiet life, enjoying the ocean breezes. Home was his happy place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 25th, at 11 a.m. in Cole Harbour Funeral Home, 1234 Cole Harbour Rd., Cole Harbour. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Salvation Army. (Saltwire Network 20 Jul2020)
