GORDON, Earl - set sail on his final voyage early April 7, 1997, surrounded by the love of his family. Predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Geoff Davies. Earl is survived by his wife, Doreen; son, John Gordon and his wife Gayle; granddaughter, Tricia Cameron and her husband, Dylan; son, Don Gordon and his wife, Karen; grandchildren, Jessica and Sean and daughter, Patricia Munro and her husband, Doug; grand-children, Gianna, Alyse and Leah. Earl was born in Winnipeg April 21, 1927. He joined the navy in 1944 and served in the Second World War and Korea. HIs naval career was cut short by illness in 1953, but his love of the sea was life long. He worked as a dispatcher for the RCMP until his early retirement. He spent many happy hours fishing in Saanich Inlet and enjoyed the many friends he made through Ham Radio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Post Polio Awareness & Support Society of BC, PO Box 6579, Depot 1.
