O'RILEY, B. David - Age 83 of Halifax, passed away suddenly at home on March 25, 2021 with his wife of 59 years by his side. David was born in Mattawa, Ont. He served 25 years in the navy, cooking on the BONAVENTURE, HURON, MARGAREE and at C.F. Alert and Bermuda. He worked as a cook at Northwood and as a crossing guard in his retirement. He is survived by wife, Margaret (Mackay); sister, Wendy; brother, Bill German; children, Sandra Sullivan (Doug), Enfield; Robert (Carisa Hector), Ottawa, Ont.; Andrew (Kerri Tomkins), Eastern Passage; grandchildren, Dawn, Shayne and Randi Sullivan and Colbi and Chayce O'Riley. He was predeceased by his parents, Kathleen (Kenney) and Bant O'Riley; son, Alexander David; siblings, Eleanor, Robert, Brian, Jack, Audrey, Karen, Stuart and Don. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope United Church or Canadian Red Cross. A Celebration of Life service will be taking place in Hope United Church Wednesday, April 14th at 2 p.m. with burial in Boylston United Church Cemetery at a later date.
