Francis John (Frank) Baceda

BACEDA, Francis John (Frank) - Passed away in Lethbridge on Thursday, November 2, 1989, Mr. Francis (Frank) John Baceda, at the age of 83 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Anna Victoria (Tory) Baceda of 826 -16 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.

 

Born in Lethbridge on September 1, 1906, the late Mr. Frank Baceda farmed on the family farm at Retlaw, Alberta. Frank worked in the coal mines for a few years and later worked at the Pavan Dairy. Mr. Baceda also worked as a partner in a meat market in Hardieville. In 1929, Frank began work with the Canadian Western Natural Gas Company at Okotoks.

 

He served overseas in World War II from 1940 - 1945. Following the war he returned to work with C.W.N.G., in Lethbridge.

 

On March 31,1969, Frank retired and has resided here until his passing.

 

Besides his loving wife, Tory, Frank is survived by one son, Francis Owen (Stella) Baceda of Victoria, B.C.; two daughters, Myrtle (Al) Hood of Calgary and Annamarie (Ken) Reed of Rocky Mountain House; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Joe Baceda of Lethbridge; and one sister, Zella Gatto of Lethbridge.

 

Mr. Baceda was predeceased by one son, Victor William, in 1975; one granddaughter; two great grandsons; three brothers, Tally, Dominic and Ben; and one sister, Bertha Pozzebon.
