His father was from the Sault and his mother was from Voglers Cove. Duncan left the Sault to join the Navy in 1965. He served in HMCS BONAVENTURE and was involved in the decommissioning of it. An adventurous soul, he joined Boilermakers Local 73 in September of 1976, and he enjoyed a 33-year career in which he travelled North America as a boilermaker. After moving from North End Halifax, Duncan purchased property in Portuguese Cove where he lived until he succumbed to cancer on July 7, 2021. Duncan always looked forward to entertaining in “the Cove”, alongside Donna, his wife of 37 years. Duncan is survived by his wife, Donna; stepson, Ethan; and his sister, Carol (Terry) Garson.
