WHEELER, Thomas Knowles, Sto 2c, V22867, RCNVR died - 23 Mar 1944, HMCS SASKATOON - Husband of Betty M. Wheeler, father of Robert Thomas (age 4), of Toronto.

 

Stoker 2nd Class T. K. Wheeler died in Westminster Veterans Hospital, London, Ontario from pulmonary tuberculosis; tuberculosis colitis and enteritis; tuberculosis peritonitis.  He is buried in the Prospect Cemetery, Toronto, ON.

RCNVR DIVISION TORONTO - Enlisted 06 Feb 1941 as a Sto 2c.  Commenced Active Service 07 Feb 1941

HMCS STADACONA - Served in STADACONA 23 Mar 1941 - 07 May 1941

HMCS VENTURE - Served in VENTURE 08 May 1941 - 04 Jul 1941 as a Sto 2c, RCNVR

HMCS SASKATOON - Drafted to SASKATOON 05 Jul 1941 as a Sto 2c, RCNVR.  Discharged medically unfit 10 Sep 1941 due to tuberculosis.
