ROBERTS, Alexander Wark, AB, V22471, RCNVR, MPK - 01 Feb 1944, HMCS ST LAURENT - Son of George Anderson Roberts and Christina C. Roberts, of Toronto, ON.

 

Able Seaman Roberts was killed when lost overboard at sea during heavy weather while serving on HMCS ST LAURENT.

 

AB Alexander Roberts' brothers Allan Roberts, James Roberts and George Roberts served in the Navy during the Second World War.  His father George Roberts served in the First World War in the RCAF. Alex's sister-in-law's brother, Jerome Dougherty, also served in the Navy during the Second World War.

HMCS ST LAURENT - Drafted to ST LAURENT as an OS, RCNVR.  Rated AB 01 May 1943
