Robert Deuling

Died: 02 Nov 1998, Vancouver, British Columbia

 

DEULING, Robert - Died suddenly in Vancouver, B.C. It is believed he grew up in the Lower Mainland of BC and graduated from North Delta Senior Secondary School, Class of 1983.

 

In about 1989 Robert joined the Canadian Armed Forces as a Cook. While serving in the Navy he served in the submarines HMCS ONONDAGA and HMCS OKANAGAN. He took his Submarine Training in Halifax and was on BSQ 9001 which was the first BSQ Course to be completed on the training submarine HMTS OLYMPUS in March 1990. While serving in submarines he was known to be an excellent baker and could make a delicious Cream Puff.


After release from the Canadian Armed Forces Robert trained further to be a Chef and worked at the Empress in Victoria.


After his passing Robert was cremated and his ashes were spread on the beach in English Bay, Vancouver, B.C.
