AUCOIN, Paul Bert Stwd, A1174, RCNR, MPK - 21 Jul 1944, HMCS MATANE - Son of Lubin B. and Catherine Aucoin, of Plateau, Nova Scotia. Husband of Marie D. Aucoin, of Halifax, Nova Scotia.

 

Steward P. B. Aucoin was one of four members of the crew of HMCS MATANE who were killed when the frigate was struck by a glider bomb, launched by a Dornier 217, in the Bay of Biscay, South of the Brest Peninsula on July 20, 1944.
