EZARD, John Raymond - Jocelyne, the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, sadly inform you of the death of their husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, John Raymond Ezard, on the 2nd day of February 2022, at the age of 80.

 

John, husband of Jocelyne (nee Hart) for 57 years, childhood sweetheart for many more; Father of Angela Tessier, the late Dale Ezard (2021), and Lynn Shorts; grandfather of Maria Papps (Keenan), David Tessier (Rachel), Katharine Tessier (Cole) and Micah Shorts; great grandfather of Joey, Isabelle, Caleb,Jack and Olivia; son of the late Rex Ezard and the late Veronica Ezard (nee Wattie); brother of Joan Wissell (Kenny) and Barry Ezard (Mary); was truly blessed having those whom God chose to journey with him. God is good, all the time.

 

John, born in Cornwall on the 19th of January, 1942, was married to Jocelyne on the 5th of September, 1964. He was ordained Permanent Deacon for the Archdiocese of Kingston on the 2nd of September, 1995. John was appointed Pastoral Minister to serve the people of God in Blessed Sacrament, Amherstview, St. Linus, Bath, St. Bartholomew, Amherst Island; Holy Family, Kingston and St. Barnaby, Brewers Mills.

 

Visitation will be held at Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home, 435 Davis Drive, (Taylor Kidd and Centennial Drive) on Tuesday February 8th 2022 from 2pm-4pm and 7pm – 9pm. Please call 613-546-5150 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to register your attendance.

 

The Mass of Cristian Burial in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 490 Day’s Road, on Wednesday February 9th 2022 at 11am. Please call 613-546-5150 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to register your attendance.

 

Cremation will follow the mass, with an interment at a later date.
