In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
Capt. Francis Gordon Nesbit was born November 22nd, 1902 in Scotswood, Northumberland, England and “crossed the bar” on February 3rd, 1981 in Victoria, British Columbia. A former Merchant Navy master he commanded the weather ship Stonetown until her decommissioning then assumed command of CGS Vancouver which also operated on Station Papa in mid-Pacific.
Francis' son was Capt (N) Keith Gordon Nesbit, RCN / C.A.F. (Navy)
