CRAMP, William John, Stoker PO, A2876, RCNR, killed - 08 Aug 1944, HMCS REGINA - Son of John and Elizabeth Cramp. Husband of Kathleen Patricia (nee Harnett) of Windsor, Ontario. Brother of Ralph, Kathleen, William, Robert, Peter, Jenny, Olive and Polly. 

 

Sto PO Cramp died when HMCS REGINA was torpedoed and sunk off Trevose Head, Cornwall, England by U-667 while she was aiding a merchant vessel in distress. Thirty of her crew were lost.  The body of Sto PO Cramp washed ashore near Bude, Cornwall, England. He was buried in the St. Neot Churchyard Cemetery, Poundstock, Cornwall, England.
