Ken was born in Shropshire, England on May 7, 1932. He immigrated to Canada at 17 as a farm worker, joining the Royal Canadian Navy in 1953. He was part of the 1st Block Draft of Canadian's to join the RN Submarine Service in 1954 as an Able Seaman.

While serving in the Navy, he met his wife Marjorie, and they married in Glasgow, Scotland in 1958. They came to Canada, to live in Calgary, AB, where Ken worked in Corrections for the Alberta government until his retirement.

In retirement, he enjoyed working for the Calgary Balloon Club as part of their 'chase crew'. This allowed for travel throughout western Canada and the United States.

Later in life, he was grateful to reconnect with his younger brother, Robert and finally meet his nieces Andrea, and Val, and their families, and nephews, Stephen, and Brian, and their families in England.

Ken was predeceased by his wife Marjorie, sister Kathleen, and brother Robert. Ken is survived by his children, Kim (Deb), and Aileen of Calgary, AB, Debra (Andrew) and three grandchildren, Maddison, Keegan and Kielea, of Houston, Texas, USA.
