Service info: "I reported to Qu’Appelle in August of 1970 as an 18 year old Radar Plotter 1 after attending Cornwallis Course 7009 and Seaman and RP training in Halifax. I was a crew member during the four month South Pacific tour in 1972 and served on her until most of the ship’s company was transferred to Kootenay in early 1973. I then served on Kootenay, including the Southeast Asia tour in 1973 until my release from the Navy in 1974. Subsequent to my release I relocated to Edmonton and took my radar training to another level with a 40 year career in air traffic control, finally retiring in 2016."
