PRUDHOMME, Frank Eugene, L/Ck (S), 40702, RCN, DOW - 28 Aug 1943, HMCS ATHABASKAN - Son Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Pierre Prudhomme, Halifax, Nova cotia; husband of Mae Georgina Prudhomme, Fairview, Nova Scotia.

 

Leading Cook F. Prudhomme died of wounds sustained when HMCS ATHABASKAN was struck by a glider bomb on 27 Aug 1943. He was buried at sea.

 

Leading Cook Frank Eugene Prudhomme survived by his wife the former Mae Mercer and two children, Frankie, age 2 and Carol age 9 months, reside on Kent Street, Fairview. Surviving besides his wife and children are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Prudhomme, 43 Granville Street, Halifax: two brothers, Victor, serving overseas with the Canadian Army; Maurice at home and four sisters. Gloria, Mrs. Harry Hewitt, Irene, Alice and Jennette at home. Frank Eugene Prudhomme transferred from the RCNVR to the regular Royal Canadian Navy on July 07, 1940.
