JONES, Keray - Died peacefully at home on the morning of 17 December 2014 succumbing to progressive lung disease. The saga of the fiery red-headed kid born (28 June 1930) in Edmonton has come to an end. He grew up in the Okanagan Valley, joined the Navy when he was 18 and retired proudly as a Chief Petty Officer, in the PT branch. He is survived by Miriam his loving wife of 63 years, his daughter Karen Horne (Ian) and his son Kip; also greatly loved by his grandchildren Thea (Michael), Kaitlin (John), Sarah (Rory), Eric and by his great-grandchildren Aidan, Abigail and Nolan. Many thanks to the members of the Victoria Horseshoe Club for being there for Dad, giving him a venue for fun and kibitzing till the very end and the Chiefs and PO's Mess for their assistance and support. A fond thank you to the close friends, neighbours and family for their love and compassion to Mom at this time. A celebration of his life will take place on Sunday 28 December 2014 between 1400-1600 hrs at the Victoria Horseshoe Club, 620 Kenneth Street, Victoria, BC. In lieu of flowers donations could be made in his name to the Canadian Celiac Association Victoria Chapter, or the BC Lung Association, (Victoria Times Colonist - 23 Dec 2014)
