KAMINSKY, Richard Sr. - With heartfelt sadness, the family of Richard Kaminsky Sr. (known as Rick to all who loved him), announces his passing, after a brief battle with cancer.
Rick's memory will be held dear by his cherished life partner of 49 years, Shirley, as well as his sisters Jean (George) Kozak, Liz (Ed) Morley, Sue (Mark) Stumph, and Anna Andrusiak. Rick was a devoted father to his sons, Rik (Bonnie), Jay (Jody), and Cory (Alanna), and his daughters, Terry (Tony), Lisa (Joe), and Nancy. "Uncle Rick" leaves behind numerous and adored nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings Andy (survived by wife Mary), Rose (survived by husband Bill), and Bill (survived by wife Sandy), his brother- in-law Mike, and beloved grandson Chad.
The family will host a Celebration of Rick's Life on Friday, September 16, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Pioneer Centre, 301 Jespersen Avenue, Spruce Grove.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Light Up Your Life Tri-Community Palliative/Hospice Care Society, c/o Westview Hospital in Stony Plain. (Legacy Remembers 15 Sep 2011)
Rick's sons Cory Kaminsky and Rik Kaminsky also served in the Navy.
