Petty Officer 1st Class Electrician, C.A.F. (Navy) / RCN

Born: 18 Jan 1969, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

Died: 09 Dec 2025

CHISHOLM, Glen Lewis - We are broken hearted to share the news of the passing of Glenn Lewis Chisholm of Enfield, NS at the age 56 on Tuesday, December 9th, 2025.

Born in Hamilton, Ontario he was a son of Lewis and Florence Chisholm.

Glenn proudly served 26 ˝ years in the Royal Canadian Navy as a Senior Electrician, retiring as a Petty Officer 1st Class. Throughout his naval career he served aboard numerous HMC vessels and took part in several deployments, including Op Apollo, Op Altair, and Op Artemis. Following his retirement, Glenn embarked on a second career with Nova Scotia Power as a Gas Turbine Technician, a role he fulfilled with dedication until his passing.

Glenn enjoyed a full and active life. He loved camping, golf and running – having completed two Bluenose 10 km marathons, the most recent in May 2024. He took great joy in driving his 1975 MGB convertible, but his happiest moments were spent at the rink watching Natalie and Josh play their favorite sport – hockey. Though often the quiet one, anyone standing behind him at the glass knew his enthusiasm was anything but silent.

His proudest achievements were seeing Natalie graduate from Acadia University with a Bachelor in Kinesiology, and Josh graduate from St. Francis Xavier University with a Diploma in Engineering. He was their biggest supporter and hoped to witness Natalie’s graduation from St. Francis Xavier University in 2027 and Josh’s graduation from Dalhousie University in 2028.

Glenn was blessed with both a wide circle of friends and a close-knit group he considered family: Warren, Charlie, Darrell, and Rob. Their friendship meant the world to him and the family is extremely grateful for their unwavering support, especially in recent months. Glenn was the life of every gathering, known for an unforgettable smile, and the unmistakable twinkle in his eye.

There are few who embody the kindness and integrity as completely in the way Glenn did. He was selfless - an exemplary husband, father, and friend. To have known him was truly a blessing.

Glenn is survived by his loving wife of twenty-five years, Anita (Arnold); his daughter Natalie; and his son Josh. He is also survived by his mother, Florence Chisholm Murphy; sister Theresa (Garnet) Boutilier; brother Dale (Lisa); stepfather Sandy Murphy; mother and father-in-law Diane & Elroy Arnold; sister-in-law Mary-Ann Arnold (Lenny) as well as a niece, and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father Lewis Chisholm.
