Larose, Gregory John "Rosy" - A Canadian Peacekeeper dies. A Canadian soldier serving with a United Nations Force in the Golan Heights died of natural causes, a Canadian Army spokesman said yesterday. Corporal Gregory John Larose, 32 was found dead in his barracks on Saturday. An autopsy conducted at the Abu Kabir forensic institute in Tel Aviv yesterday determined that Cpl. Larose died of a ruptured aorta, the main artery carrying blood from the heart.

 


 

Early in Canada's tenure in the Golan Heights, back in 1993, an Electrical and Mechanical Engineer (EME) by the name of Corporal (Cpl) Greg LaRose died while serving in United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF), leaving behind a wife (Sonia) and two daughters (Tarah and Ashley).
