Died: 24 Nov 2014, Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada

 

STEEVES, Wayne Richard - 67, of Moncton, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 24, 2014. Born in Petitcodiac, he was the son of the late Dr. Harold Brunswick and Doreen (Thibodeau) Steeves. Wayne was a retired Warrant Officer (Medic) with the Canadian Armed Forces with 31 years service, having served two tours in Germany, four years in Victoria, BC aboard the HMCS Kootenay and retiring in Halifax aboard the HMCS Halifax. He attended St. Bernards Roman Catholic Church, was an avid history buff and enjoyed reading and spending time with his family and friends, especially at his cottage in Caissie Cape. Wayne will be sadly missed by his sisters, Juanita Dyment (Norman) of Peterborough, ON, Linda Conrad (John) of Courtenay, BC, Sharon Warren (Fred) of Cocagne Cape and Darlene Cain (Don) of Lutes Mountain; special niece, Natalie Preston (Jeff) and several other nieces and nephews. In keeping with Waynes wishes, there will be no visiting hours. Private family service will be held. Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) in care of arrangements. In memory of Wayne, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
